Bidding online

USEFUL TIPS:

  1. Kim's Corner Online Auctions end in a staggered manner, usually in intervals of 1min apart. Check when your items are ending and set a reminder on your phone to avoid missing the ending.

  2. Auction extends by +- 1min if there is a bid placed in the last minute. This means that the auction can go on for longer than the given ending time if 2 or more bidders are active. Keep an eye on this!

  3. Automatic Bidding feature: This is a very useful feature that allows you to enter your maximum bid and the program will bid for you. This sophisticated function is why we chose the program we are using! We highly recommend using this feature as it can save you time and stress! (You need to bid at least 2 increments higher to use this feature).

  4. Winning bid. If you have the highest bid, the system will show you "winning bid" in green. If you have been outbid, it will say "current bid" in red.

  5. DON'T use the App if you are planning to bid at the last minute. The app's refresh time is much slower than an internet browser and therefore won't show the latest bids in time. We don't recommend bidding at the last minute at all, and highly recommend that you place a higher bid using the automatic bidding feature well in advance. However, if you do want to bid at the last minute, rather use the internet browser. auctions.kimscornersa.com.

  6. Our auction app and website can experience glitches and therefore we don't recommend leaving your bidding until the last minute. We allow a few days for you to place your bids for this reason!

  7. Invoices often end up in your SPAM folder so please check there first is you are expecting an invoice. {We are working on rectifying this}. Invoices will only be emailed out a few hours after the last lot closes.

  8. Read the terms and conditions. We can't stress this part enough. By registering and bidding on our auction, you enter into a legally binding agreement with Kim's Corner, make sure you know what you are agreeing to before doing this! We do update these before each online auction, so make sure you read them each time you register.
